New York Bridal Week: Fall 2016
Show all 9The biggest names in luxury bridal gathered in the Big Apple to show their take on bridal fashion for next year, and it was far from traditional....
One of the biggest trends saw designers presenting short dresses; mini ones to be precise.
Designer Naeem Khan showed a particularly unusual flapper-style number, whilst even Monique Lhuillier - a behemoth of the bridal world presented a shorter version of her traditional floor-sweeping bridal gowns.
Some of the most unusual trends however, came from Reem Acra whose brides all came with a big dose of 21st century technology with many sporting headphones (in a suitably blinged up metallic atleast) and another taking to the runway with a selfie-stick.
More contemporary design aesthetics were incoporated into many of the gowns with cropped tops, sheer detailing and plunging necklines.
