Alexander Wang for H&M: Collection debuts on a pumping catwalk in New York with a star-studded front row
The highly anticipated collaboration launched on a runway attended by celebrities

The Alexander Wang for H&M’s collection was finally revealed in full yesterday and then presented with a pumping catwalk show in New York last night ahead of the store launch on 6 November.
The collection, entitled Theory of Gym, marks the first H&M designer collaboration with an American fashion house, which unlike previous H&M designers such as Isabel Marant, Karl Lagerfeld and Versace, involves almost an entirely original collection, rather than the usual archive-inspired capsule.
The show was attended by a parade of celebrities and saw a runway full of energy and, of course, sport luxe looks dominated by performance wear.
Margareta van den Bosch, H&M’s Creative Advisor, said: “Tonight’s celebration truly reflected the theme of the Alexander Wang x H&M collection. It was like being at the ultimate meeting between fashion and sport, and it was perfect to launch it here in New York.”
Wang said: “Tonight’s event was about high energy and a full experience that goes beyond fashion; from the attitude and speed of the show, to the pop-up store in a locker-room setting.”
