The red carpet was rolled out yet again last night for the 2015 Critics' Choice awards.

It meant a mere 3 nights off for Hollywood's A-list who after Sunday night's Golden Globes had to glam up once again for another major awards ceremony.

A more casual affair, at least by red carpet standards allowing attendees to be abit more experimental in their style choices.

And there were indeed a few risk takers. Surprisingly Jennifer Aniston who is known for her devotion to the little black dress, pulled out all the stops in a deep red trouser suit by Gucci.

But it was Angelina Jolie who wasn't present at Sunday's Golden Globes who won the evening in an Oscar-worthy champagne-hue ruched gown by Versace.

Rosamund Pike, fresh from the news of her Oscar nomination appeared in yet another white gown, this one however came on the other end of the spectrum from her risqué cutaway Vera Wang gown from the Globes with a very modest high neckline by Valentino haute couture.

As for those who missed the mark, despite a dazzling display in Dior on Sunday, Felicity Jones failed to impress in her gothic Dolce & Gabbana number. Marion Cotillard made her entrance in a white Dior haute couture dress complete with pannier silhouette that although certainly rather spectacular, might not be to everyone's taste.
