SHE wandered down the catwalk smiling and bowing her head, like the Queen Mother doing a walkabout. If she could, she would have been shaking hands.
The star of the week in Milan was not some teenage spring chicken, but Isabella Rossellini, 41, who opened the Dolce e Gabbana and Industria shows and also did a turn at Genny. 'I was a little nervous,' she admitted after the Genny show. 'But this is fun. I will be back next season, if I'm not filming.'
Why the glut of Rossellini appearances? The reason is that Lancome, the cosmetics giant which has had the actress and model under a lucrative contract for 10 years, has dropped its exclusivity clause - leaving her free to expand her modelling career.
