Marks and Spencer bomber jacket worn by British Bake Off star Mary Berry sells out in one hour
The Berry-effect returns as the baking guru wears as bold jacket during last night's episode

Great British Bake Off’s Mary Berry has emulated the Duchess of Cambridge’s fashion effect after a bright bomber jacket she wore on last night’s episode sold out within an hour.
It looks like the baking guru is a new style icon with a similar sell-out effect as Duchess Kate, bringing a boost to British retailers.
The 79-year-old appeared last night alongside fellow judge Paul Hollywood and presenters Mel and Sue wearing the snazzy bird print jacket with navy trousers.
Besides watching the episode with watering mouths, viewers coveted Mrs Berry’s jacket too. By the time the 60-minute long show finished at 9.00pm, the Marks and Spencer number had sold out online. Impressive. The ‘Limited Edition’ jacket was described online as “a well-made jacket remains a wardrobe must-have” and a “contemporary classic”, and is now nowhere to be found on the retailer’s website.
The bold jacket is an on-trend design, and Mrs Berry has built something of a reputation for her fashion forward wardrobe choices already.
