Rihanna's debut outing as the new face of Dior was unveiled today in teasers from the upcoming Secret Garden campaign.

Snippets of the video campaign filmed as part of the ongoing Secret Garden series on location at Chateau de Versailles, was released last week with a third longer length version released today, ahead of the full film next week.

The singer is captured at night decked out in Dior, making her way through the palace. The soundtrack unsurprisingly includes a track provided by Rihanna - "Only If For A Night" from her upcoming album.

The second sneak peek is far more dramatic showing Rihanna running through a garden at night before collapsing on the grass.

A third version of the film which was revealed today sees the singer make her way round the palace, through the Salons of the Gods and dancing in the Hall of Mirrors. The full version will be released next Monday.

Rihanna is not the typical Dior girl - having a far racier image then the house's other ambassadors which include Natalie Portman and Marion Cotillard.

The campaign, shot by Steven Klein translates Rihanna's signature edgier aesthetic to the house whilst keeping true to the more traditional aspects of the brand.

It will be the first time Dior has revealed a black campaign star. Rihanna, 27 spoke out earlier this year on what the new role means:

"It feels fantastic," she said. "It is such a big deal for me, for my culture, for a lot of young girls of any color."

Dior Chief Executive Sidney Toledano explained the brand's choice of campaign star to WWD:

"In this short movie, [Rihanna] knew how to work with Versailles. She has this kind of elegance — we saw it from the very first moment — and then she can surprise. She can be unexpected and we like it. It’s part of this personality.”
