Victoria's Secret stars Adriana Lima and Raquel Zimmermann are among the models that will star in the 2015 Pirelli calendar which is set for release in November this year.

The calendar or The Cal for short, is an annual release by Italian tyre company Pirelli. In its 50 year history it has featured models including Kate Moss and Cindy Crawford and has been shot by the world’s top photographers including Patrick Demarchelier and Nick Knight.

This year’s calendar has been shot by world renowned photographer Steven Meisel and styled by former editor-in-chief of French Vogue, Carine Roitfeld.

The theme of the calendar is fetishism and for the 2015 offering a roster of the world’s best supermodels have been recruited to take part.

The roll call reads: Adriana Lima, Natalia Vodianova, Raquel Zimmermann, Isabeli Fontana, Sasha Luss, Anna Ewers, Carolyn Murphy, Cameron Russell, Gigi Hadid, Candice Huffine, Karen Elson and Joan Smalls.

Swimwear model Gigi Hadid yesterday gave her Instagram followers a sneak peek of the calender when she posted a picture of herself clad in a latex corset on set.

The inclusion of Candice Huffine marks the first time a plus size model has featured in the calendar.

“My presence on this set - the most glamorous in the world - is a sign that things are really changing," she told British Vogue.

The new calendar follows a hiatus in 2014 when instead of a new issue, to celebrate its 50th anniversary, archive pictures from a calendar shot by Helmut Newton in 1968 were released instead.
