'V A Model' -- contest deadline announced

Applications for the global model search by Ford Models and V Magazine have to be submitted before December 23.

Aspiring models can log on to vmagazine.com/modelsearch and upload their pictures (guidelines at http://scouting.fordmodels.com/vamodel/FORD_image_guidelines.pdf) for their chance to be chosen as the winner of one of the most respected open calls worldwide.

Last year's global casting, which drew more than 6,000 applications, was won by 15-year-old Norwegian Lea Groesland, who has since July's announcement appeared in a Benetton campaign and - naturally - a V Magazine fashion spread.

The latter comes as part of the deal, as does a modelling contract with Ford. "[It's] another way of saying this winner will hit the fashion ground running," Ford said.
