On Thursday 25 July, the actors of Netflix comedy-drama Orange Is The New Black served an array of glamorous looks on the black carpet for the premiere of the show's seventh and final season.

The premiere saw stars including Laverne Cox, Danielle Brooks, Taylor Schilling and Selenis Leyva arrive in New York to bid farewell to the hit show.

Several of the castmembers wore extravagant gowns by American fashion designer Christian Siriano, including Cox, who dressed in a show-stopping black and lilac ruffled Cinderella-esque gown.

Meanwhile others, such Elizabeth Rodriguez and Laura Prepon, opted to wear bold power suits for the star-studded occasion.

While speaking with reporters on the black carpet, Cox explained the impact Orange Is The New Black has had on her life and those of viewers.

"Orange Is The New Black means the world to me," said Cox, who became the first openly transgender individual to be nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award in any acting category in 2014.

"It's a show that has changed my life That's changed the lives of people all over the world, particularly LGBTQ people, people of colour, this show is everything to me."

Brooks, who revealed on Tuesday 2 July that she is pregnant, shared a photograph of herself on Instagram wearing a silver sequinned Christian Siriano gown, matching embellished blazer and a white, wide-rimmed hat by Sarah Sokol Millinery at the premiere.

"Pregnant and fabulous," the actor captioned her picture.
