Japan's and Russia's capitals are gearing up for their local fashion extravaganzas. Also coming up over the next month: an enchanted Kensington Palace relooked by designers in London, and a new Grace Kelly exhibit.

Japan Fashion Week
March 23-26
Tokyo, Japan

Japan's design stars including Rei Kawakubo (Comme des Garçons) have long been showing their collections outside Tokyo, but the city remains a breeding ground for exciting, up-and-coming talent made in Japan. Yohji Yamamoto will present his menswear collection outside the event at the Olympic Stadium on April 1.

H&M Garden Collection launch

The Enchanted Palace

The biggest fashion event in Eastern Europe will celebrate its 10th year in existence this year, showcasing the best in Russian design but also from abroad, featuring a London showroom in collaboration with the British Fashion Council.

Hussein Chalayan - from Fashion and back

Previously on show at London's Design Museum, this display of the fashion designer's creations is now moving to Tokyo's Museum of Contemporary Art, representing Chalayan's first solo exhibition in Japan.

Grace Kelly: Style Icon

Armani hotel opens

The luxe label, which is still managed by its founder Giorgio Armani and currently runs a variety of fashion lines as well as home accessory boutiques, spas, and cafés, has chosen the recently opened Burj Khalifa (formerly Burj Dubai) - the world's highest tower - to host its first venture into hospitality.
