A woman whose mugshot went viral after her makeup skills were praised on social media has revealed that her very own makeup range could soon be in the works.

19-year-old Marshala Perkins was arrested on February 6 this year after being caught with two grams of marijuana in her car by the police.

Prior to the arrest, the teen had been in her dorm room at Texas A&M University-Commerce conducting a live makeup tutorial on her Facebook page.

The makeup artist then went to wait for a group of friends in her car when she was approached by the police.

“I sat in my car for like two minutes waiting on my friends and while I was waiting, a police car pulled up right behind me,” Perkins told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

After the marijuana was discovered in her car, Perkins was then taken to Hunt County Jail where her famous mugshot was taken.

In April the Twitter account “Mugshot Baes”, a Twitter account that shares mugshots of women who've been arrested, posted the photo of Perkins, which received more than 11,000 likes.

A number of people expressed their admiration for Perkin’s makeup, namely her pink, glittery eyeshadow, while also comparing her to “hot felon” Jeremy Meeks.

“Waiting for her to drop the tutorial on this look tho [sic],” one person wrote.

“I just want to know what eyeshadow palette she used because it is poppin!” a makeup aficionado remarked.

"Why does this mugshot look so fierce?!” another person tweeted.

After spending the night in Hunt County Jail following her arrest, Perkins was released the next day and ordered to pay $2,000 (£1,568) in court fees during a six-month probation period, according to BuzzFeed.

Since her mugshot began circulating the internet, Perkins has been building up her online following.

The self-taught makeup artist currently has more than 5,000 followers on Instagram and has revealed that her very own makeup range could soon be in the pipeline.

“Someone has reached out to me about starting my own makeup line. It’s crazy. My mind is blown,” Perkins said.

“Now it’s turned into something so positive so I’m just going to embrace it and see where it takes me.”

In a caption posted on her Instagram account yesterday, the makeup artist hinted that she’ll soon have even more news to share.

Jeremy Meeks barred from entering the UK

“Y'all just don’t know when I first started doing makeup on people I felt like I was in LAST PLACE!” she wrote.

“Y’all was counting me out but God wasn’t and that’s all that matters.

“I have so many big things coming up and I just hope he guides me and builds me up while I’m on this journey.”
