As the season for endless boozy occasions gets into full swing, so to does the season of alcohol offers, as supermarkets try to outdo each other.

And the latest to set tongues wagging is Asda, who is launching a brief offer that will make their champagne the cheapest on the market.

The budget supermarket is to sell its award-winning Pierre Darcys Champagne Brut for £8 a bottle in stores nationwide.

But you’ll have to act fast - the offer is available for three days only.

It launches on Friday 8 December and runs until Sunday 10 December.

The hope is that the offer will give customers the chance to stock up for Christmas.

Normally retailing at £12 a bottle, the three-day deal is a third-off the usual price, making each glass of champagne just £1.33.

According to Asda: “This elegant champagne has delicate aromas of lemon and apple, with hints of ripe nectarine.

“Ideal as an aperitif or served with festive smoked salmon canapés, the Pierre Darcys Champagne Brut won Bronze at the prestigious International Wine Challenge Awards 2017.”

The offer follows a six bottles for £25 on prosecco from Asda, which was just one of many similar deals by British supermarkets.

With Brits’ love of fizz showing no signs of abating, it’s likely we can expect more deals before the big day rolls round.
