Harry Potter-inspired Easter egg that will sort you into Hogwarts house launched by chocolatier
Merlin's beard!

A chocolatier in Manchester has created a magical Easter egg that will no doubt send all Harry Potter fans into a flurry of excitement.
“The Sorting Egg”, which was inspired by J. K. Rowling’s extraordinary world of witchcraft and wizardry, is being sold by Slattery Patissier & Chocolatiers in North Manchester.
The egg wouldn’t look out of place on the shelves of Honeydukes sweet shop in Hogsmeade, with its sugar paste Sorting Hat and chocolate dipped pretzel wand.

However, that’s not even the best part.
This milk chocolate egg isn’t called “The Sorting Hat” for no reason.
Once it’s been opened, you’ll be presented with a scroll that will tell you which house you’ve been sorted into, in addition to an ample supply of milk chocolate callets.
Slattery has designed a variety of incredible chocolate creations in the past, much to the delight of their customers.
“We are a very creative company. Last year we created the unicorn Easter egg that went viral across the country,” a representative from Slattery told The Independent.
“Our staff have free reign on their ideas. A cake decorator created this last year for his partner.
“We loved the idea and decided to run with it this year.”

“The Sorting Egg”, which is available by collection only from the Slattery store in North Manchester, is in no way officially affiliated with Harry Potter.
It takes around two hours for the chocolatier to make a batch of 18, all of which are beautifully handmade.
The egg costs £14.95 and has already made quite an impression on Harry Potter fans online.
“Chocolate and Harry Potter?! What kind of sorcery is this?!” one person commented on the Slattery Facebook page.
Another person hinted that he would buy as many of these Easter eggs that he needed to until he was sorted into the correct house.
“Does this mean if I don’t get Ravenclaw I can keep eating eggs until I do?”, he wrote.
If only “The Sorting Egg” also came with a Hogwarts acceptance letter inside. That would make all of our Potterhead dreams come true!
