Justin Theroux has been enjoying candlelit dinners with his rescue dog while in quarantine.

As people across the world acclimatise to spending an increased amount of time indoors, many are having to find new ways to stay entertained and distracted in their homes.

Some may feel like sprucing up their three main meals a day, perhaps by experimenting with new recipes or by hosting dinner parties with friends on Zoom.

The Girl on the Train actor has been spending his evenings as of late in the company of his canine companion, a pit bull called Kuma.

Not one to make Kuma feel left out from his carefully-curated human meals, Theroux has been making miniature versions of his dinners for his rescue dog, which the pair eat together while basked in candlelight.

The duo have eaten dishes together including quiche, spaghetti, burgers and soup.

Several social media users have said how heartwarming they find Theroux and Kuma’s meals, some of whom expressed their envy over the quality of food on the rescue dog’s plate.

“Justin Theroux has been making his beloved Kuma a pupper-sized version of his dinner almost every night and my heart swells every time,” one person wrote.

“Justin Theroux having dinner with his dog every night is the lockdown content I needed,” another said.

Someone else commented on the way in which Kuma is gazing at Theroux in one of the pictures shared on social media, stating: “Everyone needs a pooch that looks at you the way Kuma looks at Justin.”

Theroux rescued Kuma in June 2018 following Hurricane Harvey, adopting the dog from Texas.

On the latest posts shared on his Instagram Story, Theroux wrote that he was serving Kuma vegetarian sliders from restaurant chain In-N-Out Burger, alongside sweet potato fries.

He captioned the videos with pleas for his 803,000 followers to donate towards The Bowery Mission, an organisation that supports those affected by homelessness, poverty and hunger in New York.
