McDonald's offers free 'Thank You' meals to key workers in the US
Participating restaurants offering complimentary meals until 5 May

McDonald’s is now offering free meals to key workers on the frontline of the coronavirus outbreak in the US.
The fast-food chain has named the complimentary dishes “Thank You” meals and they will be offered in select stores across the country.
Key workers looking to claim their free meals need only to show their work badge or uniform; they will be limited to claiming one free meal per day.
The meals available to them will change depending on the time of day.
In the morning during breakfast hours, frontline workers can choose from an Egg McMuffin, Chicken McGriddle or a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit.
Each dish comes with a side of hash browns and a soft drink, tea or coffee.
In the afternoons, they will be able to choose a double cheeseburger, six-piece McNuggets or a Filet-O-Fish.
Each will come with a side of small chips and a soft drink, tea or hot coffee.
The offering from McDonald’s is the latest in a series of restaurants serving free food to medical workers.
In the UK, there are numerous food and drink brands offering freebies to NHS staff, including Leon, Just Eat and Deliveroo.
