How to make a gala apple and sausage traybake

This dish is easy to make – and with a drizzle of honey and a dash of mustard it can be an impressive main course

Gala apple and sausage traybake

Serves 2

1x 400g pack of pork sausages, cut in half
2 red onions, cut into wedges
2 gala apples, cut into wedges 
1 bunch of sage
3 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp whole-grain mustard 
Serve with creamy mashed potato

Preheat the oven to 180C. Add the sausage halves, onion and apple wedges to a large baking tray and scatter over the sage leaves.

Whisk together the olive oil, honey and whole-grain mustard in a small bowl and drizzle over the sausage, onion and apple mixture.

Roast in the oven for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown and sticky. Serve with creamy mashed potato.
