Walkers launches six new limited-edition crisp flavours to mark 70th anniversary
Each flavour represents a different decade

Whether you’re more a cheese and onion or salt and vinegar kind of person, it’s hard to argue with the classic crisp flavours.
However, this hasn’t stopped crisp giant Walkers launching six new flavours to celebrate the brand’s 70th birthday.
Each flavour is meant to represent a different decade.

The six new flavours are:
- Coronation chicken (1950s)
- Roast lamb and mint (1960s)
- Cheese fondue (1970s)
- Chicken tikka masala (1980s)
- BBQ rib (1990s)
- Sweet chilli (2000s)
However the new flavours will only be available for a limited time from 18 March.
Rachel Holms from Walkers said: “To have been a household name in homes up and down the country for the last 70 years is a remarkable achievement.
“We would like to thank the British public for the support that they have shown us over the decades, and are proud to be the ‘nation’s favourite crisp brand’.”
However, not everyone is on board with the new crisp flavours, with one person asking whether Walkers have “lost their minds” on Twitter.

It’s the cheese fondue flavour that appears to be raising the most eyebrows.
Coronation chicken, however, seems to be more appealing.
The question is, how long will we have to wait for avocado flavour crisps to represent the 2010s?
