From Italy
Cantina di Gambellara, Gambellara Classico 2015
From a small denomination near Soave in the Veneto area in north eastern Italy, this displays the best qualities of the Garganega grape: fragrant with scents and flavours of nut and lemon, but with a crisp, tangy bite to it. Just gorgeous with grilled prawns, fish rissotto or spaghetti alle vongole.

Gasper Malvazija 2014
Some of the most interesting and unusual white wines come from areas of Croatia and Slovenia, where the Malvasia Istriana grape is a native variety. This is deceptively full in the mouth, with distinctive flavours of honeydew melon, hints of tropical fruits and almonds. Drink with a white fish, like bream, baked on a bed of fennel, lemon and potatoes.

Principe de Viana Edicíon Blanca 2015
A delightful half and half blend of tropical fruit flavours from Sauvignon Blanc, together with the creamy balance of Chardonnay, brought together by this respected producer in Navarra. Really fresh and zippy, but done with elegance, finesse and a long finish. Perfect summer wine for most fish dishes, but particularly oily fish like sardines or mackerel.
