PlayStation is giving away Destiny 2 and God of War 3 as part of its Plus service.

In a line-up it described as "huge", the two games are part of the scheme that allows players access to a range of different titles each month.

And even though both games are available for the month of September, Destiny 2 is already available.

It was released a week early so that players can take part in the 24 hour trial of a new game mode called Gambit, PlayStation said. Destiny is also just releasing its brand new Forsaken DLC, and presumably the release will encourage people to take part in that.

Neither the new or existing add-ons will be part of the Plus deal, meaning players will have to buy them if they want to play the newest content.

God of War 3 Remastered doesn't become available until slightly later: 4 September.

"Play as Kratos as he rises from the darkest depths of Hades to scale the very heights of Mount Olympus to seek vengeance," PlayStation wrote. "Armed with double-chained blades and an array of other weapons and magic, Kratos must take on mythology’s deadliest creatures while solving intricate puzzles throughout his merciless quest to destroy Olympus."

The release comes soon after the latest addition to the franchise, known only as God of War.
