Microsoft is about to release a new version of its Xbox One console, according to an apparently accidental Amazon listing.

A page was set up and then taken down that showed a new console with 1TB of storage, a new controller that features a built-in headset port and Halo: The Master Chief Collection. The listing said that it would be released on June 15 and be sold for $400 (£260).

The release date is the same as Microsoft’s event at the E3 gaming conference, where it is expected to show off the new console as well as launch its flagship games. A statement from Microsoft to Engadget seemed to confirm that the two events were related.

"We're gearing up for an exciting E3 where we'll showcase more games and experiences,” a Microsoft executive told the site. “We have nothing further to share at this time."

Microsoft launched a similar Call of Duty-branded bundle last year, which featured the bigger hard drive but an old controller. Neither that or the new listing included a Kinect.
