Samsung has revealed its new TV, named "The Wall Luxury", which may be the most extravagant television ever made.

The vast 293-inch TV is supposed to take up a whole wall and turn it into a screen.

As well as its vast size, it shows 8K content, coming with a bright display that makes it "ideal for even the brightest areas of the luxury residential space". It is incredibly thin, at less than 30mm, so that it will blend straight into that same mansion.

The TV is also made to never turn off. Instead, it will "change into a digital canvas best matching the owner's interior needs and personal mood", showing art and other content when it is not being used.

Samsung says the TV is designed for "designed exclusively for top-of-the-line environments and luxury residences". It comes at a fittingly high-end price, with estimates putting it over $100,000.

The company already made one TV called The Wall. But that was a paltry 146-inches, with the new model more than doubling that number.

“Throughout the last twelve months, we’ve closely monitored interior design and technology trends to shape the product planning and development of The Wall Luxury,” said Seog-gi Kim, executive vice president of visual display business at Samsung Electronics. “We set out to create a product unlike anything else – matching the lifestyle and taste of those looking for the most exclusive and premium visual experiences in their homes.”

Samsung has said in the past that huge televisions are the future of watching. Many of them come in 8K versions, like the new Wall Luxury – though there is little content made at that resolution, it is both preparing for the future and allows for a more detailed version of existing videos, it has said.

The new, huge TV will be available from July.
