Spectrum's internet has stopped working again, after a series of outages blamed on the ongoing California wildfires.

The company has suffered repeated outages in the wake of the deadly fires, which it said had caused problems across Southern California.

The latest problems have come from across the country: users from as far afield as Kentucky and Ohio have reported issues to Spectrum's Twitter account. As such, it isn't clear if the latest outages are related only to the wildfires.

But it comes after internet connections across California were affected by the wildfires. Spectrum's Twitter account had to repeatedly apologise for problems over the weekend.

"Spectrum customers in Southern California are currently experiencing an outage due to wildfire damage," read the first of the tweets, which was posted on Saturday. "Technical teams are currently working to restore your service as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience."

It posted two more messages making clear the problems had not been resolved and thanking customers for their patience, before it said that it might not be safe for technicians to access the places needed to return service.

"Our apologies for the interruption in services caused by the local wildfires," the latest message read. "Our technicians will be working to restore service as soon as it is safe to do so. We thank you for your continued patience."

The latest issues have led to a flurry of posts to Spectrum's Twitter account from frustrated users across the US. It replied to those reports to say it "apologises for the issues".
