A 12-year-old girl got the experience of a lifetime when she helped deliver her own baby brother on Tuesday and the photos are incredible.

Jacee Dellapena had asked to be present at the birth of her brother, Zaydn, a couple of years ago but her parents decided she was too young.

However, because this was the family’s last-born child, they decided to let their daughter be present this time round.

While the original plan was for Jacee to stay near the top of her mother’s bedside, she became upset that she couldn’t see what was happening so the doctor suggested she deliver the baby herself.

“I started crying because I thought I wasn't going to get to see him be born, because I was too short,' the young girl told MS News Now.

Her mother added, “Doctor Wolf said, “Why don't you just let her suit up and deliver the baby?”

“And I said “What? No!”'

Moments later, the 12-year-old was outfitted in scrubs and latex gloves and delivered her seven-pound, six-ounce brother, Cayson.

“I was nervous I was going to mess up but it was the best moment of my life,” she said.

“I actually, like delivered him, like, he let me actually push down and pull the baby out.

“I was like, “Wow, like I've played fake doctor before”, but this is, like, the real thing, this is the real deal.”

Father Zack captured the moment on camera as Dr Wolfe guided Jacee’s hands through the entire birth, including cutting the umbilical cord.

The images which show the magical occasion have since been share on Facebook and the look on 12-year-old Jacee’s face is priceless.

“Seeing the emotions on her face, it made me cry. It was a good moment for me,” Jacee’s mother said.
