Dermot O’Leary welcomes first child with wife Dee Koppang

Dermot O’Leary has become a father for the first time after his wife Dee Koppang gave birth to a baby boy.

The X Factor host announced the news on Instagram by sharing a photograph of a white babygrow with the words “Koppand O’Leary Productions Est. 2020” written across it.

The baby grow was pictured on a wooden floor alongside a pink bunny rabbit toy.

“Welcome to the world baby Koppang O’Leary,” the caption read.

“We’re delighted to announce that we’ve had a baby!

“A little boy born on Tuesday 23rd June 2020 (Sankthansaften / Midsummer for you Norwegians) at 8.19am, weighing in at 6lb 13oz.”

The 46-year-old continued: “Enjoying the cuddles in the newborn bubble... cats yet to be 100% convinced. Lots of love, Dermot & Dee x”

The post has already garnered more than 51,000 likes and thousands of comments congratulating the couple.

“Congratulations!! Sending allll the love,” commented model Daisy Lowe.

Meanwhile, BBC Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo wrote: “Yeaaaaaaah!!” alongside several heart emojis.

Other famous faces to offer their well wishes included singer Jessie Ware, TV presenter Scarlet Moffatt, and actor Daisy May Cooper.
