Talcum powder used to lubricate the surface of condoms could increase the risk of reproductive disease in women, American doctors warn in the Journal of the American Medical Association. They point out that if it gets into the female reproductive tract, talc may result in fallopian tube fibrosis and infertility, and it may also be linked to ovarian cancer. They urge condom manufacturers to stop using talc on their products.
