SIMPLE hand and finger exercises can significantly ease the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and maintain mobility, according to a study from South Africa published in the British Journal of Rheumatology. The researchers recommend exercises such as flexing and extending the fingers, placing hands flat on the table and lifting each finger five times, and rolling and unrolling a crepe bandage and a bath towel.
