THE amount of fresh air in aircraft has halved in the past decade, with passengers inhaling more recirculated air and pollutants such as carbon dioxide and tobacco smoke, an editorial in the British Medical Journal points out. The reduction in fresh air may contribute to the malaise associated with air travel, it argues.
