Footballer Fabrice Muamba has returned to Twitter for the first time since his cardiac arrest to thank fans for their support.

The 24-year-old Bolton midfielder's heart stopped beating for 78 minutes after he collapsed on the pitch last month. His rapid recovery has stunned doctors.

He wrote yesterday: "Thank you so much for your prayers, love and support. Good to be back on Twitter."
