McFly's Tom Fletcher announces third child with Instagram video

‘We thought we’d make it a trilogy’

Tom Fletcher of McFly announces he and wife are to have third baby

Tom and Giovanna Fletcher have announced the arrival of their third child with an Instagram video that has delighted their fans.

McFly frontman Tom has made quite a name for himself with his creative family videos.

In 2013, the video of Tom’s musical speech to his wife Giovanna at their wedding went viral, garnering more than 19 million views on YouTube.

The couple has since documented each of Giovanna’s pregnancies on film, with a video of the first reaching more than 14 million views on Youtube and a video of the second more than two million views.

Yesterday, the childhood sweethearts revealed that they are expecting their third child, and enlisted the help of their sons Buzz and Buddy to make the announcement on social media.

With Bing Crosby’s rendition of the song “Yes Sir, That’s My Baby” playing in the background, Buzz and Buddy can be seen happily making a snowman with their parents’ assistance.

Once the snowman has been made with sticks for arms, a carrot for a nose and a scarf wrapped around its neck, a sonogram of the newest addition to the Fletcher family is then displayed on its front.

Tom, Giovanna, Buzz and Buddy then proceed to pose alongside the snowman and sonogram, making it their first family portrait of five.

Tom expressed his excitement in the caption for the video on Instagram, writing: “We thought we’d make it a trilogy.

“Baby three coming September! Couldn’t be happier.”

Many people have expressed their congratulations for the family’s happy news.

“OMG I’m so happy for you Tom and Gi!!” one well-wisher commented on Instagram.

“Who knows, maybe now a little princess will join the team????”

Another person commented: “Congratulations. My children are older now but love watching your family stories.

“Cherish every moment as they grow up so fast. You are both fantastic parents."
