Ripon: home to a cathedral, a racecourse, and now the world's first museum dedicated to gritters.

Vintage bad-weather road-maintenance vehicles, including snowploughs, spreaders and a fully restored Army 1972 Bedford gritter with red, white and blue Jubilee livery, are on show. Entry is free, but viewing is by appointment with the UK's largest gritter firm, Econ, weather permitting.
