Your correspondent Alan Woods may boast that you can get any amount of dental treatment on the NHS for the total of £275 inclusive (Letters, 28 January) but, in my experience, the quality of the materials is so restricted that if you want to keep your own teeth, there is no alternative but to go private. Which I did - and at a cost I have not regretted.
