In thing: Beachbags

Hottest summer beach accessory is designer Susan Telford's wobbly green rubber beach bag. Made from a rather pungent, finely slashed rubber, these bags look like grassy sea monsters dangling from one's arm, but have been a big hit with sun worshippers heading out of town. 'Very peculiar people with orange hair have been coming in and buying them,' says shop manager Joe. 'They're very unique. Not the kind of thing you'll see hanging on the wall in Pinner.'

Susan Telford's beach bags cost pounds 78 and pounds 70.50 for the rucksack.
