Plus-size activist recreates Kim Kardashian's nude ad to spread body positivity
'All bodies are good bodies'

A body-positive activist has recreated Kim Kardashian’s nude fragrance ad to challenge the idea of what the ‘perfect’ body looks like.
The provocative campaign shows the reality TV star posing completely nude and is being used to promote Kardashian’s new fragrance, KKW Body, which comes in a bottle designed using a wax mould of her naked torso.
In response to the photo, Carmen Rose, 30, from Los Angeles, California, has recreated her own version on Instagram in a bid to challenge body standards and prove that all bodies, no matter their shape or size, should be celebrated.
The post, which is divided into four quadrants, shows the original campaign image alongside three shots of Rose’s nude body mimicking Kardashian’s pose.
But, unlike the polished KKW Body photo, Rose makes no attempt to disguise her cellulite, rolls and stretch marks.
“One of these bodies, a large part of our society will deem as 'perfect',” Rose wrote in the caption.
“My body is empowered by the opportunity to share a different reality. Stop striving to be perfect because guess what, you are there!
“Today, at this very moment my body is as good as it possibly can be. I can’t change it today, and tomorrow it may be different, it will still be perfect.
“There is no body better than the next. There is no one body that is “perfect”. There is your body, unique, worthy, desirable and perfect. All bodies are good bodies.”
The body-positive activist’s post clearly struck a chord with her 55,000 Instagram followers who promptly flooded the photo with comments praising her empowering message.
“Thank you for showing that we are all perfectly perfect,” one person wrote.
Another added: “Truly uplifting and a great empowerment for the beautiful ladies out there struggling with self-love.”
Rose hopes that by sharing the photo, and other body-positive images on her Instagram account, that she can inspire women to define their own standard of beauty and love their bodies.
Explaining the reason why she decided to bare all for the fragrance campaign, Kardashian told E! News: “Honestly, I spent the last eight to ten months fully working out with my trainer.
“I swear I've never been in better shape than I am now. So, why not, you know?”
