Kylie Jenner's daughter Stormi refuses to call her 'mommy' in video
'That's not my name, my name's Mommy!' Jenner tells daughter
Kylie Jenner has revealed she’s facing a unique parenting struggle with a video of her daughter calling her “Kylie”.
In the short clip, which Jenner shared to Instagram Stories, two-year-old Stormi Webster can be heard saying: “Hi Kylie”.
“That’s not my name, my name’s Mommy,” Jenner, who sounded taken aback, can be heard responding.
Despite correcting the toddler, Stormi continues to repeat “Hi Kylie” while giggling and walking in circles around her mother, to which Jenner continuously responds: “No.”
On social media, the mother-daughter interaction has been called the “sweetest thing ever”.

“That video of Stormi saying ‘Hi Kylie’ on Instagram is the cutest thing ever,” one person tweeted. “I want a little Stormi.”
Another said: “Stormi really went up to her mom and said ‘Hi Kylie.’”
However, others have said the toddler’s choice to call Jenner by her first name is “disrespectful,” while some suggested it may be because Stormi hears “Kylie” more frequently than she hears the word “mom”.
“HA the disrespect from Stormi saying ‘Hi Kylie,’” one person tweeted, while someone else wrote: “I mean… she definitely knows that her mom is THE Kylie Jenner.”
Another said: “For me this represents a lot, a child reproduces exactly what the people who create them say/do and it’s clear that she doesn’t spend so much time with Kylie to be comfortable calling her ‘mom.’”
It appears Jenner was eventually able to correct her daughter, however, as Stormi can be heard saying “Mommy” in another video of the pair shared to Instagram Stories.
The interaction comes after Jenner faced criticism earlier this week over the extravagant birthday party she threw the two-year-old, which included an inflatable slide featuring Stormi’s face and “StormiWorld” claw machine games.
“Such a blessing to be able to create these magical experiences for my baby. StormiWorld,” the 22-year-old captioned photos of the carnival-esque party.
