Less beds per head

London has fewer hospital beds for its size than almost any other European capital. Only Lisbon and Dublin are worst off, according to a report by London Health Emergency, which says London has 50% fewer beds per head than Paris or Rome and half the number of Berlin. Spending per head in London is less than Liverpool, Manchester or Newcastle, it says.
