l I ENJOYED the article about Mercedes Bermudez and her designs ("The loneliness of a first-year designer", Sunday Review, 5 March). While the accompanying photographs are stylish, they make it difficult to see and appreciate the clothes. If colour photographs were not possible I think the clothes - and not the photography - should have been properly featured.
