Letter: Mobile menace

Sir: How splendid if the present concern over electronic eavesdropping brought to an end the menace of the mobile telephone. At least Cyril Reenan, the retired bank manager, actually chose to listen in to a conversation. Increasingly, on trains, ferries and in other public places, the rest of us seem no longer to have any alternative.
