YOU refer to senior managers creating complex woven baskets and then destroying them in order to confront loss or change ("Britain's stressed- out bosses become basket cases", 4 October). The idea, unsurprisingly, comes from the US. In order to make it more appropriate for the British workplace may I offer the following modification to the scenario? Non- management comes up with its own intricate basket designs and then hands them to management who, in turn, either destroys them or, in most cases, claims the design as its own.
