Sophie Turner, Chloe Moretz and Michelle Williams star in new Louis Vuitton campaign
‘These women embrace the various personalities that embody fashion at Louis Vuitton’
Following the booming success of the Louis Vuitton cruise resort show in the south of France last May, Nicolas Ghesquiére has recruited Hollywood’s most in-demand actors to star in the brand’s latest campaign.
Thandie Newton, Michelle Williams, Chloe Grace Moretz, Sophie Turner, Alicia Vikander and Ruth Negga have teamed up to showcase the luxury house's pre-fall 2019 collection, which celebrates women who “illustrate the diversity of feminine expression”, according to the brand.
Inspired by “autumnal atmosphere”, the focus of the collection is on the contrast between city chic and rugged country, says the press release.
The collection features a plethora of prints such as plaid, stripes, and florals, as well as statement accessories and exaggerated silhouettes.
In the campaign shot by fashion photographer Collier Schorr and styled by renowned LV collaborator Marie-Amélie Sauvé, Thandie Newton is dressed in a black motorcycle jacket featuring exaggerated tartan balloon sleeves and a matching black leather midi skirt.
In another shot, Jennifer Connolly sports a pair of high-waisted pencil-leg floral-print trousers and a matching shirt complete with oversized shoulder panels interjected with black lace panels.
“These women embrace the various personalities that embody fashion at Louis Vuitton," Ghesquiére said in a statement.

In conjunction with the new collection, the French fashion house also debuted its new Monogram Giant print, which appears on the Monogram Boite (worn in the campaign by Kelela) and the Cannes (Zhong Chuxi).
The star-studded collection comes months after Ghesquiére decided to sit out of this year’s pre-fall 2019 runway circuit, opting to debut his new collection instead with a celebrity-filled lookbook.
