Love Island's Tommy Fury admits he doesn't know how to make peppermint tea

As a professional boxer, Love Island contestant Tommy Fury knows how to jab, hook and uppercut his way around the ring.

However, when it comes to making a peppermint tea, the 20-year-old is far less adept.

In Sunday evening's episode of the reality television show, new Islander Molly-Mae Hague asked Tommy to brew her a peppermint tea following breakfast.

Tommy promptly told fellow contestant Sherif Lanre that he didn't know how to make one, an admission that shocked numerous viewers.

"Tommy Fury can knock people out left right and centre, but he can’t make a peppermint tea," one person tweeted.

"Tommy Fury learning to make a peppermint tea has been the most entertaining thing on #LoveIsIand all week," one person wrote.

Another viewer described the 20-year-old's inability to make a peppermint tea as "unacceptable".

As one Twitter user pointed out, all it takes to make a peppermint tea is putting a peppermint tea bag in a cup and adding boiling water.

Later on in the episode, Tommy admitted while making breakfast for Molly-Mae that he'd also never cooked an omelette before.

"Tommy is a very, very good boxer. And at the moment that seems about it," contestant Curtis Pritchard said in the confessional booth.
