Love Island 2019: Viewers praise Yewande Biala for opening up about trypophobia
'Do you know there's some weird sponges and they have loads and loads of little circles? It creeps me out,' 23-year-old scientist says
Love Island viewers have praised contestant Yewande Biala for opening up about her trypophobia.
On Sunday evening's episode of the reality television show, Yewande and fellow Islander Michael Griffiths shared an al fresco breakfast together.
During their meal, Yewande told Michael that she has a "phobia of small holes".
"Do you know there's some weird sponges and they have loads and loads of little circles? It creeps me out,” the 23-year-old scientist said.
Several Love Island viewers expressed their appreciation for Yewande speaking up about her phobia.
"Omg Yewande I feel for you girl. I have the exact same phobia... trypophobia," one person tweeted.
"Yewande having trypophobia makes her so much more relatable to me. I felt that," another remarked.
When an individual has trypophobia, they may experience an aversion to the sight of clusters of small holes, bumps or irregular patterns.
