A Berlin-based condom company has lost a legal battle after a rival company took issue with their claims that each condom could provide three orgasms.

As The Local reports, the rival Cologne-based company called for an injunction against the Einhorn condom company's claims, saying customers could misinterpret the slogan and use each condom more than once.

A message on the Einhorn (or 'Unicorn') packaging reads: "Each pack contains seven condoms - or up to 21 condoms."

In a press release, the company said that their condoms will allow the man to orgasm once, and the woman twice.

"Just one orgasm per condom would mean that only the man was allowed to come," they said.

"This doesn't take into account women and other sexual partners. After all, during sex both, or multiple sexual partners can come several times."

Despite this explanation, Düsseldorf regional court agreed with the Cologne company, and ordered the message to be taken off the packaging in case users thought they could use the condoms multiple times.

Einhorn has appealed, and the two parties will soon meet at a competition court in Düsseldorf for a discussion.

Einhorn and its founders, Phillip Siefer and Waldemar Zeiler, shot to fame in Germany after appearing on Höhle der Löwen, or 'Lion's Cave,' the German version of Dragon's Den.

Their business plan was to make buying condoms cool, rather than an embarassing chore.

The packages are adorned with artist-designed images, and the condoms inside are fairly and sustainably produced in Malaysia, with the company also offering vegan and cruelty-free options.

Einhorn seems to be making the best of the case, however - they are currently offering a discount package promotion on their website, advertised with the slogan: 'The Orgasm Package - As seen in the courtroom.'
