Emma Roberts has given birth to a baby boy, it has been reported.

According to TMZ the American Horror Story star welcomed her first child with boyfriend Garrett Hedlund on Sunday after giving birth at a hospital in Los Angeles.

The publication has reported that Roberts has named her son Rhodes.

Roberts has not yet confirmed the news herself on social media.

News of the actor’s pregnancy first came to light in June.

The 30-year-old confirmed that she and Hedlund were expecting a child together in an Instagram post shared in August.

Roberts shared two photos of herself in which her bump was visible. In the second, she was sat beside Hedlund on a sofa.

“Me…and my two favourite guys,” she captioned the post.

In November, Roberts became the first pregnant woman to front the cover of Cosmopolitan.

In the accompanying interview, she opened up about her experience of being pregnant.

“Long story short: I am hungry and tired,” she told the publication.

“Food and sleep do not abide by the normal laws when you’re pregnant. But I’m healthy, which is the thing I’m most grateful for.”

Roberts went on to comment on how her body has changed throughout her pregnancy.

“To see my body change inside and out so drastically has been a wild experience," she said. “Surprising and beautiful. Then again, some days I feel like I’m being hijacked by something.”

The actor also opened up about her fertility struggles and revealed that she froze her eggs prior to getting pregnant with Hedlund.

“A few years ago, I learned that I’ve had undiagnosed endometriosis since I was a teenager," she said in reference to the common condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb grows in other places like the fallopian tubes.

“I always had debilitating cramps and periods, so bad that I would miss school and, later, have to cancel meetings," Roberts continued.

The actor revealed how it wasn’t until she had switched to a female doctor in her late 20s that she was finally diagnosed with endometriosis.

“She ran tests, sent me to a specialist. Finally, there was validation that I wasn’t being dramatic,” she said.

“But by then, it had affected my fertility. I was told, ‘You should probably freeze your eggs or look into other options.’”

The Independent has contacted a representative for Roberts for comment.
