Jim Chapman announces engagement to Sarah Tarleton 16 months after split from ex-wife Tanya Burr

The YouTube star proposed while the couple were on holiday in Mallorca

YouTube star Jim Chapman has confirmed his engagement to girlfriend Sarah Tarleton.

On Sunday, the 32-year-old uploaded two photographs of himself and Tarleton in Mallorca in which the model can be seen wearing an engagement ring.

@sarah.tarleton and I have some news,” read the caption below.

Tarleton shared one of the same images on her Instagram feed alongside a different one of the two of them embracing on the beach.

“A bit too overwhelmed to find the right words, but this has been the most magical weekend @jimchapman,” she wrote in the caption.

Many of the couples' friends and fans commented with congratulatory messages beneath on both of their respective posts.

“How LOVELY! Congratulations to the both of you!!!” wrote fellow YouTube star Louise Pentland.

“So happy for you guys,” wrote one of Chapman’s 1.9 million followers.

The couple are thought to have been dating for just over one year.

News of their engagement comes 16 months Chapman split from his wife of four years, YouTuber-turned-actor Tanya Burr.

The duo had been childhood sweethearts and started dating in 2007.

When announcing their split, Chapman said in a statement: “After twelve incredible years, Tan and I have decided to go our separate ways.

“We’re still absolutely the best of friends and have nothing but love and respect for each other.

“We will continue to support one another in all of our ventures and are both looking forward to what the future holds.”

Burr added: “Just wanted to let you all know that a few weeks ago Jim and I made the painful decision to no longer be together.”
