Katie Holmes and boyfriend Emilio Vitolo Jr. are now Instagram official

The couple celebrated Holmes’ 42nd birthday together

Katie Holmes and her boyfriend Emilio Vitolo Jr. have gone Instagram official after months of speculated dating.

It’s the first time the couple have publically acknlowledged their relationship after being spotted together a number of times in New York.

This week chef Vitolo took to Instagram to upload a candid black and white picture of the couple while celebrating Holmes’ 42 birthday, with the caption: “The most amazing ,kindest, beautiful person ❤️ Every time I see your face it makes me smile . Happy Birthday !!! I love you !!"

Holmes commented on the post, "Thank you so much my Love❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I love u too!!!!!"

In August, TMZ first captured the couple out on a date at Antique Garage in Manhattan, and in September The Daily Mail saw them getting intimate at Peasant Restaurant in the city.

It is Holmes’ first long-term relationship since she split with actor and musician Jamie Foxx in August 2019, while she was previously married to Tom Cruise after the pair wed in a Scientology ceremony at the 15th-century Odescalchi Castle in Bracciano, Italy, on 18 November 2006.

The couple have a daughter together, Suri, now 14, but divorced in 2012.

Holmes’ happy news comes just after it was reported that Cruise is also dating his Mission: Impossible 7 co-star, Hayley Atwell.

The two stars are currently working on the Mission: Impossible sequel, with filming taking place all over Europe, including in Norway and in Italian cities Venice and Rome, and have reportedly ‘hit it off' on set.

According to The Sun,  the difficulties filming has faced during the coronavirus pandemic has only brought the pair 'closer together.'

“Tom and Hayley hit it off from day one. Lockdown, and all the difficulties that came with it, brought them even closer and they’ve become fairly inseparable,” a production source told The Sun.  

“They’ve been meeting up after hours, and she’s been to his London pad. They get on brilliantly, and both seem very happy.”
