Man's plea to night club to remove incriminating photo from website backfires
His text messages asking to remove a photo of him and his ex-girlfriend went viral

A man who begged a night club to take down a photo of him and his ex-girlfriend from the internet backfired when the club shared his pleading messages instead.
The clubber sent a Facebook message to Level Nightclub in Bolton to remove a photo they had posted on their website of him and his ex-partner, before his current girlfriend saw the message and “physically hospitalised” him.
“Hi, I’m gonna be honest, got a bit messy last nite and you’ve took this photo of me wit my ex bird [sic]. If ma current bird sees it she’ll physically hospitalise me please please please can ya delete it asap. Cheers,” read the text message.
The night club joked that the man should drop off £10,000 and a pack of Haribo Tangfastics before 6pm that night otherwise they would use the incriminating photo as the club’s profile picture.
After another pleading message, the club played along and took down the photo – but posted his messages instead, without disclosing his identity.
The Facebook post – “Good night was it pal?!” – now has over 3000 shares and almost 10,500 “likes”, and was re-tweeted 332 times.
Not everyone thought the post was funny. Facebook user Nicole Wheeler wrote: […] if he was caught doing things he shouldn’t have then his gf [sic] deserves to know!!”
