Woman reveals she's been on 77 dates in two years
If the spark's not there, what's a singleton to do?

Britain’s most dedicated dater says she’s just picky - not desperate.
29-year-old Londoner Anna Heaton is one of Britain’s many singletons looking for love, and she’s been on an impressive 77 first dates in the past two years in the hope of finding the one.
Unfortunately it’s been to no avail though.
Speaking to Victoria Derbyshire this morning, Heaton explained what she’s looking for in a man: “Someone with a good sense of humour is a must.”
“I also find ambition very attractive in men,” she said, explaining that that applies both to work and social life.
A good dress sense and taking pride in one’s appearance are important for Heaton too. And honestly, who can’t relate?
Being picky is no bad thing - why settle for average when amazing is out there somewhere? - and many of us struggle to find someone with whom we have a real spark.
Heaton hasn’t found anyone who’s fit her criteria yet though.
“Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been on second and third dates but it hasn’t really gone anywhere past that because I just haven’t felt that sort of excitement where I think it could go somewhere,” she explained.
Heaton says she thinks her problem may be that she’s “too picky”: “it’s always me that does not want a second date and a lot of them think there is something wrong with me.
“I know what I’m looking for and I just haven’t found it. I often have a lot in common with people but the spark just isn’t there, I just don’t fancy them.”
As well as being a committed dater, Heaton is possibly Britain’s most organised singleton - she keeps a spreadsheet where she scores all her dates on looks, personality and spark.
It started out as a joke with her work friends but she continues to update it after each new potential suitor comes on to the scene.
Heaton also appeared on TV dating show Take Me Out in April this year, but unfortunately she wasn’t lucky in love.
If you think you could be a good match for Heaton, she advises you wear something nice (including smart shoes), take her on an activity date and be yourself. Advice many people would probably second.
