Warm... your jets, man. A dash of early Pink Floyd, a soupcon of late Beatles, a smattering of Led Zeppelin, a tad of Kraftwerk, a smidgin of The Police and a pinch of Pavement. Bind with legendary Clash producer Glyn Johns and season with West Country attitude and you've got the Warm Jets. Hotly tipped for great things, the foursome released their debut album last month. Tonight Leeds Duchess of York (0113 245570), tomorrow Sheffield University, Thursday Manchester Roadhouse, Friday Liverpool Lomax

See... some of this year's Oscar nominees looking their best. "Branded Youth and Other Stories" is the first big retrospective of portraits by the legendary American photographer, Bruce Weber. The exhibition (previously at the National Portrait Gallery) features vibrant portraits of Robert de Niro, Marianne Faithful, Little Richard, Madonna, Christopher Isherwood... There are also candid shots of Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and the late River Phoenix. "I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to photograph these people when they were so young and open in their attitude," says Weber. To 31 May, Walker Art Gallery, William Brown St, Liverpool.
