An innovative quick-drying duvet that can be washed and dried on the same day has been praised by Marks & Spencer customers.

Designed with a soft touch microfibre cover built in, this means the duvet cover does not have to be removed while washing it.

The product which retails at £39.50 to £57.50 for a 10.5 tog duvet, and from £32.50 to £47.50 for the 4.5 tog is being targeted predominantly at families with children and students who may struggle with making their beds.

It comes in four sizes - single, double, king size and super king size - and comes in either dark blue or light grey.

Several people have been commending the product in the reviews section on the store's website.

“I really like the thinking behind these, I have teenagers who aren’t bothered by different styles of duvet cover and are too lazy to take the covers off for me to wash!” one person wrote.

“I hope this product evolves and that we see more styles and maybe some natural fibres in there.”

Another wrote: “I have arthritis and putting a duvet cover on was virtually impossible!”

Someone else explained that they find the duvet particularly useful when setting up a temporary bed for a house guest.

“This works perfectly for someone who needs an occasional duvet on the sofa bed at the last minute,” they wrote.

While the printed varieties have already sold out, the white quick-drying duvets are still on sale, with prices ranging from £22.50 to £75.
