Dolly Parton sparks 'LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Tinder' viral trend

If you haven’t already noticed it dominating your Instagram feed, the “LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Tinder” challenge is the latest social media craze sweeping the internet.

The new viral trend was kickstarted earlier this week by 74-year-old singer Dolly Parton who shared a post of four contrasting images of herself that would be appropriate profile photos across the different social media platforms.

For LinkedIn, the “9 to 5” singer chose a photo of herself wearing a buttoned-up blazer, while the Facebook image saw the Grammy Award winner opt for a Christmas jumper.

Similarly, Instagram featured a throwback image of Parton wearing double denim and posing with a guitar while Tinder was represented with a photo of her in a Playboy bunny costume.

“Get you a woman who can do it all,” Parton playfully captioned the meme alongside a wink emoji.

So far, a host of A-listers have taken part in the challenge including supermodel Naomi Campbell, actor Mark Ruffalo, TV host Ellen Degeneres and The Office star Mindy Kaling.

Here, we take a look at some of our favourite celebrity “LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Tinder” posts.

Ellen Degeneres

Ellen DeGeneres captioned her post” “When my agent asks if I can play different roles.”

For LinkedIn she posed in a button-up shirt, blazer and glasses and for Instagram she opted for an group shot with Michelle Obama, Jennifer Aniston, Jimmy Kimmel, Chance The Rapper and Sofía Vergara.

For the Tinder image, she picked a Halloween photo of herself dressed as “Cardi E,” while Facebook saw her pose alongside her wife Portia de Rossi and their pet dogs.

Naomi Campbell

Naomi Campbell swapped out the Facebook category for YouTube so that she could use an image from a now-viral video where she meticulously sanitises a plane seat before sitting down.

Her Instagram photo shows her posing in a leather playsuit, while LinkedIn features an image of her wearing diamond-encrusted glasses. For Tinder, the supermodel chose a photo of her posing in black underwear on a bed.

Kerry Washington

Django Unchained star Kerry Washington captioned her post “Inspired by @dollyparton, of course!”.

The actor shared a series of images including one of her wearing a grey suit for LinkedIn, alongside her parents for Facebook, laying on a bed in black underwear for Tinder and posing on a grand staircase in a patterned ballgown for Instagram.

Janet Jackson

The “All For You” singer shared her take on the viral meme on Friday alongside the hashtag #CanDoItAllChallenge.

For LinkedIn, the star chose a photo of herself wearing a white shirt, a selfie with fans for Facebook and an image of her holding an award for Instagram.

For the Tinder image, Jackson selected a topless snapshot of herself on a beach wearing bikini bottoms and a shell necklace.

Mindy Kaling

Mindy Kaling captioned her quartet of images with: “Eeenie, Meenie, Miney, Mo.”

For LinkedIn she chose a screenshot of herself taken from The Office alongside the words: “The Business B****”. Meanwhile, she chose a photo of herself holding her daughter for Facebook and an image of her posing surrounded by clothes for Instagram. For Tinder, she took a selfie while sitting on the floor in front of a mirror wearing a black bodysuit.

Mark Ruffalo

Actor Mark Ruffalo chose a photo of himself reading a book and wearing glasses for LinkedIn while he smiled at camera making a “peace” sign for Facebook. For Instagram he posed alongside fellow actors Chris Hemsworth and Robert Downey Jr, while Tinder was represented with a topless photo of the star with a yellow towel on his head.

Ruffalo captioned the post: “Get a guy who will play them all.”

Gordon Ramsay

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay shared an image of himself in his white chefs coat for both LinkedIn and Instagram, while he posed with his youngest child Oscar for Facebook. The Tinder image saw the 53-year-old posing on a beach wearing a black wet suit.
